Brewery cooling is a critical application that cannot have down-time. If one chiller requires maintenance, it is great to have a backup Whaley chiller module to kick on while the primary unit is being inspected and maintained. Additionally, optimum efficiency can be obtained for applications that have dramatically fluctuating heat loads. A modular configuration allows the system to cycle down and only run a portion of the chiller circuits available during low heat load times. Modular chillers typically do not come with internal pumps. An external central glycol pump tank station is use in conjunction with modular chillers.
